How to choose
- Centrifuges: the bench-top centrifuge has adjustable speed up to 6,000 rpm and a 1–99 minute timer; the haematocrit centrifuge runs at a fixed speed of about 13,000 rpm for haematocrit capillary tubes; the manual centrifuge is hand operated with a swing-out rotor for four 15 ml conical tubes.
- ELISA work: the reader covers 380–900 nm with endpoint and kinetic modes, and the washer uses an 8-channel strip manifold.
- Water: the distillation unit is an automatic water purification system with a tank of about 4 litres and output conductivity of about 2 µS/cm at 25 °C.
- Blood collection: plain blood collection tubes and vacuum tubes, including serum gel and EDTA types, are listed with a vacuum tube needle and a tourniquet.
- Haematology and chemistry: the haematology analyser gives a complete blood count with 5-part differential, and the clinical chemistry analyser handles serum, plasma and urine samples.
